JA Biztown is a community that educates children how to run a business, vote in elections, wisely spend a paycheck, and become involved in the civic elements of a city.
Comprised as a small city within the framework of the JA campus, 4th - 6th graders engage in the roles of worker or consumer in a series of classroom lessons within the fully interactive space. Students learn the lessons of owning a business as well as personal finance skills.
It is amazing to see the learning process for young minds and how they develop a strong understanding of the relationship between classroom lessons and participation in the global economy.
We had the pleasure of updating the space for a new set of young entrepreneurs to enjoy, capped off with their very own Nashville ribbon cutting.
